Five time champions Real Madrid defeated Red Bull Salzburg 3-0 which secured top spot in Group H of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The game was at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, U.S. which saw goals from Vinicius Junior, Federico Valverde and Gonzalo García for Los Blancos.
Real took the group on top after defeating their first game and drawing the second.
Salzburg fell to third place in the group out of the running, which sees Al Hilal progress in second behind the victors’ 2 0 win over Pachuca.
Real did not retain their Spanish League title or success in the Champions League this season, but both clubs qualified based on Champions League performance for the last four years.

Vinícius Júnior scores, Real Madrid advance at Club World Cup
Vinicius Júnior got one himself and also set up another as Real Madrid recorded a 3-0 win over RB Salzburg on Thursday to secure top spot in Group H and progress to the Club World Cup round of 16.
He Spanish team ended with seven points, which is two more than Al-Hilal, which defeated Pachuca 2-0 in the other group match. Salzburg, with four points, and Pachuca, which did not score a single point, were out.

Vinicius got the breakthrough in the 40th minute with a fantastic goal from the edge of the box before also acting as a provider at the end of the first half which saw him put through for a great finish from Federico Valverde.
After the break Real dominated play but had to wait until the 84th minute for a third when Gonzalo Garcia scored a fine individual goal in a quick break away from the Salzburg keeper.
