Official: RailOne App Launched – 5 Features That Simplify Ticket Booking in 2025

The RailOne app will combine all passenger services in one spot. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw revealed a new program called RailOne in New Delhi on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. According to Railways spokesman, RailOne is intended to improve the relationship passengers have with the Railways. “Designed by public sector initiative (PSU) of the Railways, CRIS is an all-in-one program with an user-friendly UI. The app is downloadable on Android Play Store and iOS App Store,” the spokesperson added.

The RailOne app includes live train tracking, complaint management, e-catering, porter scheduling, last-mile taxi services, and a 3% discount on unreserved tickets and platform passes. On IRCTC—the PSU providing ticketing, catering, and tourism services for the Railways—reserved tickets will still be available. The spokesperson stated that, like many other business apps partnering with the IRCTC, the IRCTC has also authorized the RailOne application.

The RailOne app allows login using mPIN or biometrics with a single sign-on. It also works for current UTS and RailConnect credentials. Mobile ticketing system UTS lets daily train commuters book unreserved tickets, it is the Indian Railways’ app. According to officials, RailOne frees up device space since there is no need to install several applications.

Mr. Vaishnaw also praised the CRIS staff for the progress made on enhancing the current Passenger Reservation System (PRS), pushing the organization to concentrate on further reinforcing the digital core of the Indian Railways.

“The modern PRS will be agile, multilingual, and scalable to handle 10 times the present load. It will be capable of 1. 5 lakh ticket reservations and 40 lakh inquiries per minute,” the spokesman said.
